HOLLOW CRIB

This is BJ Bourg's first completed novel. It is currently being shopped to various literary agencies. (Cover art by Cathy Bourg)

DESCRIPTION:

In HOLLOW CRIB, William Chandler decides to take his wife and six month old daughter on a camping trip to the Kisatchie National Forest in northern Louisiana, where his father was killed by a falling tree twenty years earlier. Tormented by lingering demons and a strange Army veteran who talks to a Pit Bull, William begins to question his decision to return to the scene of his youthful tragedy. On the second night of their stay, William's wife falls into the raging rapids of the Kisatchie Bayou. His desperate rescue attempt proves successful, but when he returns to the campsite he makes a discovery that will change his life forever. A violent car crash and a hospital stay precede William's subsequent arrest for a murder he didn't commit. Betrayed by his wife and facing the death penalty, William is forced into desperate action.

Meanwhile, in the southern part of the state, a burglary case leads police to the body of a Magnolia Life Church parishioner. When Detectives Brandon Berger and Dawn Luke begin to investigate, they discover that the church is more than just a place of worship. The information they uncover could help William Chandler prove his innocence, but making the two hundred and fifty-one mile connection could be a killer.

HOLLOW CRIB is an emotional rollercoaster ride that follows William's struggle to prove his innocence…all the way to its extraordinary conclusion.
