WHAT'S NEW

If you're looking to find out what's new with Mystery Writer BJ Bourg, you've come to the right place.

Howdy and thanks for stopping by. I have three more acceptances to report. Tribe accepted my story BACK YARD and it's already up at Flashing in the Gutters. The link is here. Esther Schrader also accepted another of my stories entitled HAS BEEN CONVICTED for Flashshot. Both of those acceptances came on Saturday. Then, on Sunday, Joe DeMarco notified me that my story DEAR JOE would be featured in a future issue of Mysterical-E. Speaking of Mysterical-E, my column "The Q&A Project" will begin running in the Summer Issue of that fine e-zine. The column will be dedicated to answering police procedural questions for mystery writers. Anyone wishing to have a question answered via the column can email the question to me at bjbourg@bjbourg.com.

Well, that's all folks! Have a great week and thanks again for stopping by.

MONDAY, MAY 1, 2006

Happy May 1st to everyone! I'm very pleased to say that I have a couple of more acceptances to report. Wednesday I received word from Editor Esther Schrader that my story KILLER SAFETY had been accepted for publication in a future issue of FLASHSHOT. Yesterday I received an acceptance from Writer's Post Journal for my short story HONEY BEAR, which will appear in the June issue of that fine magazine.

I'm still working on polishing my novel. I'm getting there -- slowly, but surely. I hope to have it completed within the next couple of months and sent to an agent.

The May/June issue of FUTURES Mystery Anthology Magazine is here and it looks AWESOME! My story THE WRONG HEADLINE is featured in that issue. Anyone interested in purchasing a copy can do so by clicking here: order FMAM.

Well, that about wraps up "WHAT'S NEW" for this week. Thanks for stopping by.
